Crews responded to the 77000 block of I 85 for a reported car fire. Crews arrived on scene to find a tractor trailer cab fully involved. Initial crews made a quick knock down on the fire. The scene was turned over to SHP and all units cleared the scene.... (Full Story & Photos)

Traffic Accident

MFFD, November 02

At approximately 15:00 hours crews were dispatched to a multi vehicle accident at the 79000 block of I-85. Engine 643 arrived on scene of a 7 car accident with one over turned. Crews assessed all occupants involved and confirmed one minor injury. Engine 643 personnel assisted EMS with patient care and SFD Rescue 1 assisted with shielding. Engine 643 responded to assist Salisbury Fire on a working structure fire off of Newsome Road. Initial Salisbury units arrived on scene and confirmed heavy smoke showing. Salisbury Crews were able to get a quick knock down on the fire. Engine 643 reported to staging for manpower. Engine 643 was later relocated to Salisbury Station 1 for district coverage.... Miller's Ferry Crews stayed extremely busy over the past few days during hurricane Florence. We experienced numerous calls all over our district, and even responded to assist mutual aid departments.
