At approximately 01:45 AM crews were dispatched to a reported apartment fire at 420 Boundary Street, East Spencer. The first arriving units confirmed heavy fire showing on division 2 of a multi family dwelling. Initial crews pulled attack lines and begin fire attack on division two. Salisbury Ladder 1 arrived and begin primary search. Engine 643 arrived on scene and assisted with establishing a secondary water supply to Ladder 1 to prepare them for a defensive operations. Command advised all units to evacuate the structure, and prepare for a defensive operation. Ladder 1 placed the aerial into service utilizing a master stream. The fire was brought under control in approximately 45 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an additional 3 hours assisting with overhaul & salvage. No injuries to civilian or fire personnel were reported.
