The Miller's Ferry Fire Dept. was awarded the NC Forest Service Grant today. This is a matching grant that will allow the department to purchase wildland firefighting equipment. The department will utilize this grant to replace fire hose, rakes, & adapters on our Brush truck that are currently 10 + years old. This equipment will allow our personnel to continue to perform firefighting activities in a safe manner.
