Structure Fire

At approximately 14:30 hours crews were alerted for a possible house fire in the 100 block of Waccamaw Drive. Crews from Station 34 responded with Engine 343 & Tanker 345 approximately a minute after dispatch. Engine 343 arrived on the scene and confirmed a working fire from a single wide mobile home. Engine 343 dropped its LDH at the road and laid in 200 feet while Tanker 345 established a water supply to them. Crews deployed a attack line and pulled additional line for a backup line. Spencer Engine 752 arrived on the scene and established the back up line while Engine 343 crew entered for fire attack in the offensive mode. A quick knock down was achieved on the fire. GQFD Engine 572 crew reported in and conducted a primary search and assisted with overhaul. Union Engine 761 established a RIT team on the "A" side of the structure. The incident was brought under control within 15 minutes, and additional crews responding were relocated for district coverage. The Red Cross was requested to assist the family.
