| Crews were dispatched to the intersection of Kern Carlton Road, and Long Ferry Road for a reported traffic accident with injury. Rescue 64 arrived on the scene and found a 2 vehicle accident with one on it's side. After checking both vehicles it was confirmed that we had one entrapment. Rescue 64 personnel established a hot zone, and begin preparing equipment for extrication. Engine 643 arrived on the scene and shut Long Ferry Road down. Once the road was shut down Eng. 643 personnel pulled an 1 3/4" protection line, assisted with stabilization. Once vehicle was stabilized personnel begin extrication on the truck. Patient was free within 15 minutes and turned over to Rowan County EMS for patient care. |
