At approximately 13:00 hours crews were dispatched to a reported rescue assignment at Yorkhill on the Yadkin River. Rescue 64, Zodiac 64 and FB 34 as well as the Rowan County Rescue Squad responded. Rescue 64 personnel arrived on scene and deployed the zodiac up river. Rescue 64 personnel arrived to find a female patient trapped in the mud up to her waist. Crews were able to place a pfd on her, and begin stabilizing her for extrication from the mud. FB 34 arrived on scene and their personnel assisted with the extrication. Patient was freed in approximately 10 minutes and was treated by Davidson County EMS. All units cleared the scene.
