Crews respond to Bus Fire

At approximately 07:00 hours crews were alerted to a reported vehicle fire at the 81000 Block of S I 85. Rowan Communications advised that they were receiving multiple calls, and advised that it was a tour bus involved. 6401 requested Salisbury Rescue 1 to respond for additional manpower. On arrival crews had a working fire with the bus 50% involved. Rescue 1 pulled an attack line for extinguishment. Engine 643 arrived and pulled an additional line to assist. Tanker 645 arrived on the scene and provided water supply and shielding. Churchland FD arrived to assist with manpower and water supply. Once fire was knocked down crews begin to overhaul. Approximately 4 patients were treated for minor burns. Multiple agencies from Salisbury and Rowan County assisted with transporting the 80 passengers to a safe area until further transportation could arrive.
